In addition to chemical methods, processes using high-energy light are increasingly being applied for the treatment and modification of technical surfaces. In contrast to chemical processes, these techniques offer the advantage that grave reductions in emerging emissions and material consumption are possible.
The selection of applicable, technically relevant light sources is very diverse. In order to investigate the application possibilities of different light sources for a material-saving and environmentally friendly pretreatment of technical surfaces, INNOVENT has established an efficient and variable experimental system in recent years.
This system can be equipped with different light sources in the UV and IR wavelength range, which provides a wide range of applications. This equipment enables us to adapt and test processes as well as treatment parameters in an individually target-oriented manner.
