Spirit of research at new location in Jena

"97 percent finished and already fully functional", announces Jürgen Schmidt, head of the electrochemistry group at INNOVENT, the move of the working group to the new location on the Ilmstraße in Jena. It took about two years until the state-of-the-art laboratories and workplaces could be officially put into operation. For INNOVENT the investment is an important step towards the creation of urgently needed laboratory capacities. The new location will be used in the long term for intensive research into the possibilities of electrochemistry. The new laboratory area allows optimized processes and a more efficient use of resources. This is necessary to quickly and flexibly meet current and future research projects and orders from industrial customers and development partners. The investment was made possible by a proportionate subsidy from the Thuringian Ministry of Economics (TMWWDG).

The focus of the electrochemistry group is on the development of innovative and customer-specific production, variation or characterization of surface properties and coatings.
