Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jets APPJ are a very comfortable tool to locally modify a workpiece surface at ambient pressure conditions. In case of larger workpieces even areal pre-treatments as well as coatings are possible by a certain arrangement of a higher number of plasma nozzles.
Behind two-dimensional coatings this system can be applied for filament coating, too.
The inline-capability of the APPJ process makes it very interesting for a lot of industrial applications.
