INNOVENT has tested the new plasma handheld device "piezobrush® PZ3" for relyon plasma GmbH as part of an industrial project. In doing so, relyon made use of the vast expertise of INNOVENT in the field of surface treatment with plasma.

In order to extensively test the characteristics of the PZ3, the plastics polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC) and polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) were treated with the PZ3. For all 3 materials an improvement of the wettability and an increase of the roughness of the surfaces could be determined after only one treatment. Both factors are important to ensure an optimal bonding. The testing scientists attested the PZ3 a good applicability and also good treatment results.
