Today’s progresses in advanced medicine, medical technology and biotechnology are strongly related to the providing of suitable materials fulfilling specific requirements of  biological systems. In many cases novel technologies and therapies require specially-tailored materials. For that reason the biomaterial sector is a booming market establishing above average growth potential.

• The research area „Biomaterials" covers a broad service portfolio: synthesis and/or modifying of biomaterials including characterisation and application tests.
• We provide research and development work for prototype beginning from research concept to market implementation.
• The know-how of the research and development team is supported by means of close co-operation with internal research departments of Innovent with steady broadening the knowledge.
• The membership in the research network "Interface functionalization and Biointerfaces" of the Free State of Thuringia as well as in the Thuringian Working group Biomaterial (TAGB) offers a suitable plattform for efficient partnerships - http://www.tagb.de.
