Antireflective coatings
Using PACVD processes at atmospheric pressure it is possible to deposit thin inorganic films onto transparent substrates like glass or polymer materials. Controlling the deposition parameters the structure and the effective refractive index of the films can be modified in such a way that a significant improvement of the light transmission can be achieved. The wettability of the films can be tuned from hydrophobic to hydrophilic behaviour. The films are highly adhesive and abrasion-resistant.
